Barney won't debate anyone, because he is scared of losing.

For willingness to debate RM when we have an insurmountable disagreement: https://www.debateart.com/debates/803-default-auto-loss-on-forfeit

And even a agreement to debate Pie on a certain topic he's passionate about, and resign from the moderation team if he wins (which he seemed quite confident he will).

tangents and rants about various personal problems and/or theories about me following him to his house
As I dislike being lied about and I insist you are lying, I'll happily accept a debate challenge from you on if that actually occurred on this site instead of merely inside your imagination.

@RationalMadman
I've been willing to debate you on this for a very long time. You have multiple times claimed all evidence for the ban is pure lies (as in, RationalMadman never made those posts...). By all means, issue that challenge.
The justification for the Aug 2020 ban on RM, as written and referenced in the moderation log, in the moderation log, is barely sufficient and majority lies and/or violating promised amnesty or punishing when he already was and also some double jeopardy.
Interesting resolution proposal, and IMO quite convoluted. Worse, it could be taken down with the simple act of con trolling by arguing against the ban (that the justification was indeed not sufficient).

Again, my offer is to debate your repeated claim about pure lies (I've linked one of I lost count of how many threads); and within so I would not even Kritik what counts as a lies, merely point to some of the forum posts and have the judges verify if they're there or not (quite the easy win for you if nothing's there as you've repeatedly insisted).

Further, I work full time and attend grad school (admittedly for fun). I retired from active debating a long time ago, and while I've put in a couple appearances, I do not have the time for ridiculously long debates (not to mention the research commitment reading hundreds if not thousands of your posts from years ago would take).

I will ignore all the peculiar theories about me secretly following you around in real life.
No such theories have been presented by anyone other than you. What was pointed to was an online pattern clearly evidenced by your debate comment history. If false, name one user who you've bemoaned a greater number of their votes on other peoples debates?

Your bizarre wanton misunderstanding of even the most simple things, examples why the word salad you present as debates has difficultly holding my attention.

If Barney is interested in moderation debates, I would happily debate him over his own voting.
The resolution could be "THBT Barney has mis-represented a debater's arguments within the content of his voting decision." Barney seems to take liberty in avoiding other propositions including those which he has labeled "logical leaps," in the past, so I suspect this resolution could be pertinent.
Have I ever cast an imperfect vote? Every last one of them is imperfect. Dig through enough of my voting history, and some are downright flawed. As part of the moderation team, I encourage others to delete my reported votes if they are even borderline (which for other users are standardly left in place), and have personally deleted some of my own upon reconsideration of the quality of said votes.

If your choice to follow me around to routinely gripe about my voting ever since I beat you in a debate is merited, that I would be curious to see your justification for. I suppose a resolution along the lines of "Barney is the worst voter ever."

If you have followed any other voter around so obsessively, please let me know the error in my interpretation of your actions.

Instead of fronting with Ilikepie5, why not step up and actually debate me about the ban's reasoning, as you wrote it and have the resolution that is was based on a majority of lies and fallacious basis considering amnesty and context?

You can set the resolution.

I will fucking body you, I am sick of people saying I am mediocre, they have not seen me debate something I care about truly overall and against an opponent I really want to defeat on said topic.
I've been willing to debate you on this for a very long time. You have multiple times claimed all evidence for the ban is pure lies (as in, RationalMadman never made those posts...). By all means, issue that challenge.

I am very emotionally driven at my core. I need to burn to win and then I will bring all hell upon my opponent, not wasting a single character typed.

Make it 23k chars at least. I want to explore a lot of angles.
5k characters would be more than sufficient if not wasting the vast majority of the characters on side tangents of dubious relation to the topic.

@Undefeatable
There's some of my debates on which were I a voter, I would have voted against myself.

I'd personally rate myself in the lower end of the A tier, but well short of S tier.

Were I still an active debater, I'd almost certainly have been defeated by now. As is, I'm well out of practice, so I'd as likely as not lose to someone in the B tier with the right topic. Honestly, low voter turnout and a couple misogynistically biased votes probably would have taken me out in an abortion debate by now.

What is being said here?

Are PM's not private?
~99.9999% of the time they are wholly private between you and whomever. however, there exists a sole exception when the quoted content of a PM had to be verified as coming from the accused author.

White Privilege - Fact or Fiction

@Greyparrot
Cocaine in Minnesota generally netted a mandatory 4 years prison minimum if black, and mere probation if white.

That other racists exist in the criminal justice system, does not override the majority of such racists being anti-minority to the degree that they were able to pass insane laws like that.

“Minnesota lawmakers had approved mandatory prison sentences of four years for users of crack, a derivative of cocaine that's cheap and common on inner-city streets. Powdered cocaine, on the other hand, is seen by some as the suburban alternative - more popular among whites. State law prescribed probation for powder cocaine users.”

Any non-racist defense of such obviously unconstitutional laws?

This is just one of thousands of examples.

Every group has certain privileges when contrasted against other groups.

As a white person, many crimes I may commit will net much lower prison sentences than if I were black.

Just imagine that was written by someone who wanted to call referendums by the acronym “MEEP.” Basic inference from that, should explain a lot.

To the best of my knowledge, no one on the current moderation team loves red tape. We’ve publicly told people like a dozen times or more that we’ll support any community lead MEEPs.

Launch your referendum whenever you would like, and I at least will help it the same as I would any other (I assume the same of every other moderator).

If the community truly wants any rule which directly contradicts my ethics, I’ll cease being a moderator (I’ll also resign if a particular member beats me in certain debate).

I don't think we have a hammered out policy for specific PM offenses.

The worst we ever dealt with, we had to have Mike verify that the PMs were real, and then we did a perma-ban (that was over threats to someone's family; so hopefully non-applicable).

In the Admin Panel -> Participants,
Please add a quick way to ban spambots.

It could even be a button in the Participant's details page, without going into their profile; and further without manually filling in the length and details. 10000 days and "Spam/Scam." Further, it would be nice to also remove their avatar images and about me sections (right now having those still display their shitty links, is a victory for them).

Currently, a significant percent of new accounts are obvious spambots (the user name and  avatar images tip me off). Thankfully, they seem to be on some type of delay before flooding the forums.

Bodily Autonomy

@Danielle
According to the 13th amendment:
"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

This logically extends to bodily autonomy. People are not property.

technically you still should not deviate even an iota from what your trainer has taught you
A problem occurs within that worldview when they routinely contradict themselves.

Such as...
Luddite (L): Why did you do that?
Normal Person (N): Because you told me to.
L: I'd never do that.
N: 15 minutes ago, and I disagreed so wrote down your exact instructions as we talked
L: Well I didn't mean for you to do that.
N: Follow your instructions?
L: *huffs* Well don't do that again!

What if her boss legit told her to do it the stupid way instead of using control F though?
Sure, if the real boss gave me the direct order to waste a ton of time and intentionally create errors in the data... I would do it. This being me, I'd probably automate the error creation and track them, but I would follow the technical order (this being an order which is not going to directly harm anyone).

Similarly, when I was doing a warehouse job, I corrected a problem of >30% of inventory locations being filled with dark inventory (non-inventoried goods). When I was ordered to just throw them out instead of adding them back into the computer inventory record, I followed said order.

Sorry I couldn’t stick with the game. My schedule filled up with a new job, and then I had a three day music festival to attend in NYC, so was quite glad a replacement was available.

And no, I had not lurked. I had genuinely been wholly offline.

In previous games my scum tell of over dedication to the game was identified, so I leaned in a little extra against that (not checking in during my lunch or anything like that).

@PREZ-HILTON
Facebook:
My Facebook indeed contains a single thread with limited audience for me to vent (or bitch if you prefer) about the misdeeds of a past co-worker.
There is nothing within it which I did not raise to HR. The company (which shall remain nameless) considers almost all if it (plus a lot of far worse things which did not fit the comedy theme) completely acceptable.

First example from that thread:
Luddite at my work freaked out, because after she had opened a spreadsheet file I generated, she noticed that there were hyphens in the file name...
Apparently those hyphens made the file absolutely impossible for Excel to open...
Said file was indeed open in Excel...
When confronted with the evidence that the file was already open in Excel, she raised her voice and proclaimed that she learned it from someone else, so therefore it's a FACT that the file cannot be opened!

As for the direct questions
Why do you think it's appropriate to advise a new coworker to be insubordinate to his boss by doing things the way you would prefer?
This is directly asking about using Ctrl+F instead of printing lengthy spreadsheets to go over it by hand... This was one issue which the parent corporation sided with me on. I got the company best practices upgraded to my standard.

Even if those ways are better, why would you expect him to put his job at risk for your or even his own immediate benefit?
I get no direct benefit from someone else not having to work through every weekend. Further, even if the company wanted to fire people for being too good at their job, they were way too short staffed to ever let anyone go.

but the certainty that Pie and GP are scum is quite unusual.
They acted very coordinated in trying to bus me when I put the slightest pressure on GP.

The rational the Pie claims he caught me lurking when I legit was not on the site, is rather suspect; my impression is scum team and GP has a power role for which they I’ve lucked out in catching GP having a power role for which they are willing to sacrifice Pie with bad plays.

As for the reason that I’m a moderator: ask any moderator if they are on the site each and every day.
