In effort to revitalize mafia, Airmax and I are working on a long term project. We have ambitious plans related to mafia that we will detail as we move forward. The goal is to bring people in that have a love for the game, and an interest in participating in live games, forum games, and future projects that we will be working on.
In the short term, we have created and set up a mafia discord that will act as a hub for mafia related announcements and live games as well as other long term goals. I have also reached out through Facebook, text messages, discord, etc to contact players that have been around through the years. I am also going to look at other mafia related sites and platforms to try and bring good players over. Ideally, we will have an active mafia community that loves the game and is willing to participate in this project in the long term. It’s a passion project for us both and one that we are excited to begin. To the extent that we can, we are going to invest our time as well as monetarily to see this project succeed.
Airmax and I are excited to be working on this and urge you to join the mafia discord. A key part in being able to make this work is keeping an eye on the discord for notifications. Congrats Town Wins, and Holy Shit Did they win
MVP is objectively pie. I have seen pie do some stupid stuff in mafia, but this game may actually have been one of the best reads / town games I have ever seen and not just from him but anyone I have ever played with. He literally nailed every mechanic in the game and broke the game down to the point that he figured out the passive frozen solid skill came from jana which was nearly impossible to find. Mega mega mega mvp. The cop on whiteflame ended the game basically
Overall thoughts
Game was balanced around frozen solid being able to bypass almost all the protective rolls once applied. Wylted had a 1x PGO which also could have helped mafia. Warren was a lost mafia with the skills that he had to boot. I actually think this game was balanced in favor of mafia with town having some counter measures such as aerith being able to prevent all nks (this took effect over frozen solid) and max having a skill that listed off every action done to him. Would have been a lot more fun but the np1 basically ended this. Super unfortunate that mafia targeted waren, and also super unfortunate pie hit the nail on the head before he could use beguiling speech

Crystaline Dust - (Active Skill 1x) All those who visit you when this action is used will auto fail on any action used on you
Beguiling Speech - (Active Skill 1x) Target someone and that person will always appear innocent if they are guilty or guilty if they are innocent until the end of the game
Howling Winds - (Active Skill 1x) Targets the field to make vision restricted, anyone performing a Nk cannot be tracked or watched that night (1x ninja)

Do not post in this yet until I say the dayphase begins. Pre posting this early for rules. Once everyone confirms they have their pms, the dayphase will start. Dayphases will roughly be 4 days long.
Basic mafia rules apply
Some rules and tips are as follows
- 1Don't edit a post, if you edit a post you get the yeet
- Don't look to much into wording of pms, I'm a dumbass and fuck that up quite a bit
- I will not answer questions in the main thread, I will answer them in DMS
- The way I typically will resolve actions is town > mafia. For example if someone protects themselves, that protection will take place prior to a kill occurring. Most of the times mafia actions will happen last. In case of something like a roleblock. A protection would occur, but then the roleblock would prevent it from happening and a night kill could take place. This is not always the case i'm sure but typically how I resolve it for people to think about their actions before they happen
- Please be active. If we want to restore mafia put some effort in this so people can see its active and may want to join back. I don't want that keyboard drooling brain dead big dumb shit I see where someone posts once every 5 day phases to say something stupid. You don't have to spam or shit but do you best to participate.
- Have a fun time
- I use the term lynch, if you don't want to use that term that's perfectly fine. Use a term that you like
- Vote someone by typing VTL or VTK or some other term that makes sense
- Do not copy and paste pms, or direct quote from pms. I will modkill you
- Other basic mafia rules that may be escaping me atm. We all know these, just don't be a dickhead

Praise be unto max, our lord and savior. This was a hard fought election but one that was promised to end this way. Through thousands of pms and harassment, all his voters showed up to support him both willingly and unwillingly. Today we usher in a new era, the era of 1227.
From this day forward shall this site be changed. We shall inseminate it with artificial growth via ad spam and embrace the Chinese bit coin market to generate revenue to help this site flourish. From this day forward you shall never have to worry about over reaching moderation. We can and will tackle the oligarchy and annihilate those that oppose us. The locking of the thread below is primarily what is wrong with this site and why there is no activity, it's also why airmax should be elected. When 2 people are engaging in a back and forth and participating in it, let it go on.
This is the type of over moderation that makes this place dull and a husk of DDO. At some point moderation needs to step back and let members handle their own shit until it becomes actual harassment. Who gives a dick if it's a call out thread. It's a debate website.
Seriously ever major member I've talked to has the same complaint and if we start getting new members they are going to complain about much of the same.
Let members handle their own shit and stop regulating it by locking threads.

- Airmax1227 - I honestly believe this is the right choice. The same critique that I've thrown at this site for years is the same critique and main reason as to why it's dead (at least in my opinion). Over moderation and the ability to let the community moderate itself and resolve it's own issues until it's absolutely needed for moderation to step in. I found out whiteflame was head moderator yesterday so I'm sure some steps are already being made toward this as he is a gent of a human, and I've never had a bad experience with whiteflame outside of really bad mafia play. Kinda drools on his keyboard when he plays mafia, but we can't all be perfect and I love having him in mafia games nonetheless. But on the point of this, why Max? For those who have not known him, Max was the head moderator on DDO for around 10 years. He was not paid for this position and did it strictly out of a love for the community and the website. If you have never had an interaction with him, you absolutely should. Since his time on DDO, I can honestly claim him to be one of my best friends (I mean this fully). I've had the chance to interact with him both on and off DDO, and at his core Max is a an amazing human being who is far more mature than we deserve. His ability to rationalize bans, or explain his actions far exceeds anything we have seen since DDO died. Even when I was banned by him in the past, I was never arguing with him about the ban. I would even admit I deserved it after he explained it to me and why he was doing it. All that to say this, he can change the culture of this site. He takes a very hands off approach and lets the site moderate itself and solve its own issues until someone needs to step him. Max is honestly the person we need but don't deserve. This is the right choice.
- RM - While I have no issues with RM personally and love to see him active and engage with him (both to troll him and understand him as a person). I do not think he is the right person for this title. Yes he is active but that does not necessitate him as electable. From my interactions with him I've seen the same pattern of behavior, he is unable to engage with people past the point of them disagreeing with him. He either will block you or force himself to be a victim and call people bullies to avoid debate / conversation. This is a debate website, and there should be some animosity. The issue most people have with moderation now is that it's to heavy handed and I think RM will be just as bad as the current mods but tailor those choices unless they affect him. When he is the person in the wrong, moderation is horrible and heavy handed. When mods don't ban something he disagrees with, they should be more heavy handed. The entire way he would distribute his choices and bans would be entirely subjective and on a whim based on his personal ideologies. That is not to say I don't like him. I actually am glad he's around as I quite like his personality and he makes great content. He is in fact needed on this site, just not in any leadership capacity. Much like myself, I don't have the patience to deal with half the people I interact with online and flame them into oblivion. But I have my role to play.
- Wylted - Most people know him as a troll or captain rape debate. But wylted is in fact a good person. He's in it for the shock value and while I think he's vastly a better choice than RM, he does not hold a candle to Max. I say this with love and I would say the same of myself or even lunatic and other friends. It's not that wylted is bad or has any reason that he should not be elected. In fact if max was not running I would vote for wylted. The only argument I lob against wylted is that he is running against someone, who is vastly more qualified for this position.
So ask yourself, do you want to see this website change? Do you want to see it become active and try to reach the heights of DDO? I'm not sure it's even possible with how far in the grave this site is already, but if anyone can make it happen and if there is a chance to save it and bring back DDO then Max is the person to do it. Make the right choice and elect your neighborhood axolotl

- He's a Jew and all Jews know how to get the job done. Having survived the Holocaust, he's immune to attempts at his life. He is a survivor and a savior to all those that allow him to be
- He hates moderation, and let's be honest. Fuck moderation, it's the reason this site is dead. Max knows the balance between allowing people to flame each other into the ground, and also being able to moderate actual threats which this site is extremely lacking in. Moderation is far to fast to jump in on bans and enforce things that members should be able to handle themselves. Have you ever been flaming at some kid online and had your wife / gf tell you to "grow up and stop being a dumbass", that's basically moderation. We don't want to hear that shit, we want to yell at people until they block us. Max knows this balance.
- He was the heart of debate.org. Without max ddo would have died years prior. He was the reason the website thrived and he alone , kept the members around by managing the website on his own spare time. He was the judge, jury, and executioner and for that we sing his praise.
- He started the DOO Illuminati which is still around to this day.
- He has a big penis. Trust me , I've seen it. Circumsized as it is, it's girthy and thick as a 24 ounce coke bottle.

As some of you know we have a discord set up for some of the old school ddo members where we play live mafia and hang out on Fridays. I just overhauled it and set up a trial channel for forum mafia there and set up chat features for open topics.
The biggest complaint from the old crew I've heard is that this site is over moderated and no one wants to use it for that reason. Basically setting up a secondary option as a chat feature and mafia feature where people can hangout , play games, and argue with minimal oversight.
I've gathered up a lot of the older members who are not active on here (most of you see some during live mafia ) and some of the new guys here
Anyone is welcome. Just pm if you join the channel and I'll adjust roles.
Consider it a off-site chat feature where you typically don't run the risk of censorship and being banned. Unless no one likes you then you may get the boot. (only happened once)
