In situation 1, I don't want to punish the 75% who agree to form ideology emotion free based on the 25% who agree with losing their voting rights in exchange for free speech without verbal pushback. Similar for Situations 2 and 3.
But you're not policing the women themselves, you're policing how everyone else responds to them. It's not like anyone can control if someone else treats them like a child.

Ok, maybe I'm just not getting this. Couldn't you say this about any claim if you were on the chopping block? "You're lynching me right now, so obviously I would never expect to get away with this claim." How is this not WIFOM, or saying that we should never lynch anyone who gives a suspicious claim? Obviously scum is never going to say "I would give this claim as scum."

That's not really accurate. I've said already that from my POV, the odds of you, Mharman, and banana individually being town are just above 50% each. That's still lower than the odds of everyone else being town, so that makes you my PoE. I've agreed to target you today over those two for basically the following reasons:
1. Your lynch gives us useful information about banana.
2. You agreeing to go along with the plan to confirm Austin.
3. Others I trust want to target you, and I'd rather coordinate with them than risk lynching outside my PoE
I'll admit that some of the reasons I have for scum reading you, like WyIted's behavior, are things you can't really control if you are town. So there's a good chance that you are town and just got unlucky being caught up in the scum pool. If you have any additional reads on Mharman or banana's behavior, I will definitely take them seriously, especially if you flip innocent. Just because I think you are the best person for Austin to target doesn't mean I'm discounting the possibility that you are town, and if you are, any comments you have today on PoE (including the ones you've already given) will be helpful for town.
I sincerely don’t know what you or anyone else wanted from me aside from not throwing my hands up in exasperation yesterday.
But your death isn't the only thing at stake. I know you've given some reads already, but the game still continues after you die, and this is likely your last chance to give any suspicions you have about Mharman/banana/the whole Austin and Moozer cc situation. I mean, if you are town, you have a big interest in how we handle those things after you die.

WF looks kind of inevitable at this point, and I think I may have realized. If WF is scum, then the reason they gave up so easily is probably because their scum partner is in the PoE. He's not trying to move the lynch to Mharman or anabanana, so if WF is scum, he probably figures a scum is getting lynched today no matter what so he might as well take his chances with Austin. If he's town, I don't totally understand why he hasn't tried to move the lynch to someone else in PoE (I think if he'd put in more effort, he might have convinced us) but I guess it can get kind of draining if it feels like you're getting scum read no matter what.

Everyone Mikal has pushed for is well within PoE. How do you know for certain that Mharman and whiteflame are mislynch targets? Even if you are innocent and thus know you are a mislynch target, I know that I'm a mislynch target, so I could accuse you of the same thing.

There's a difference between being focused on a player you're trying to lynch (what Mikal did) and being focused on a single reason to lynch a player (what you're doing now). The latter isn't always scummy, but it's not usually convincing.

The reason your reads haven't caught on is that you've been hyperfocusing on a single point (willingness to vote Earth), which isn't even a scummy thing, since Earth was in PoE yesterday.
