Scientists are right alot, but are wrong most of the time.
The whole consensus around science is being receptive to facts and information as they come, while challenging personal beliefs/views they have, if it conflicts with the evidence.
Rejecting science just because it can be wrong is in the incorrect approach. Understanding there is a possibility that scientific information you assumed to be true could be wrong, is the right one.

Though I’m sure it doesn’t help that me and RM have beef, my concern isn’t with RM specifically, him debating Nyx, or the separate viewpoints.
My main concern at the moment was the thread devolving into people dogpiling Nyx because of her gender. If people agree with Public and want to discuss it with Nyx, I’m okay with that.
But pages 1-2 are just TWS and Rational targeting Nyx specifically. It hasn’t gotten so bad that the mods have to intervene, but that’s primarily what my frustration was focused on at the time of the post.

However, if no one does. You will issue an open challenge abiding by the criteria of the rules and wait for a random person to accept.
If you win, then you are awarded the points of the topic. However, if the random person wins, you just won't be awarded the points. The random person will not get any points because they're not an actual competitor in the Tournament.

- There will be Five Categories. There will be four topics listed per category. Each topic is worth a certain amount of points. The more points assigned to a topic, the harder it is. And the longer response time.
- To qualify for the Finals, debaters must obtain a minimum of 20 points.
- All debates must include parenthesis (TRT) at the beginning and you will be required to link your debate in this forum. They must also be Standard and set to Judicial Decision.
- Competitors in this tournament may not be judges. The standard judges are the ones mentioned above, but if you wish to go with a different choice for judges, consult with me first.
- Mention below which topic you’d like to choose. Only four people at a topic at a time. Opponents will therefore be randomized instead of chosen.
- All topics are on-balance.
