So California will lead and make the sometimes painful transition to clean energy while Mississippi continues with the old ways. It’s only proper. When has Mississippi ever led on anything? Women’s rights? No. Slavery? No. Technology? No. Education? No.

California has the money and the numbers in population to lead on necessary change. The rest of the country will follow, no doubt kicking and screaming all the way.

She carried 12 Republican-held districts in the State Assembly and six in the State Senate.

Now the Republican state legislature is planning to impeach this judge because she won’t recuse herself on a case that clashes with her stated personal political views.

He then changed the rules for confirming Supreme Court Justices to a simple majority, after condemning Democrats for the same change for lower court votes, that he instigated with his abuse of the filibuster.

He blocked a vote on Mertick Garland, causing a vacancy on the Supreme Court for nearly a year, under the guise of a bogus election year custom, then blew up that custom for his own nominee a short time later.

He jammed through a tax cut for the wealthy donor class, on a party line vote, abusing the Senate rules on the procedure known as reconciliation.

Worst of all he didn’t have the integrity to stand up for the Constitution when Trump was impeached.

He does not deserve dignity in his twilight after such abuses and his complete lack of integrity.

The politicians and the base enabled Trump’s lies about the 2020 election being stolen.

In response he tried to steal it and reverse the results.
