Sorry the game was so quick. Town was stacked. Mafia had counters to everything but there was not a ton in the way of confirmable roles they could claim, but drafter did well with what he had I thought. Wanted to start experimenting with not giving fake claims, to harden mafia mindsets but I kind of expected it to hurt here, but still drafter and chris picked up on the split pretty early.
Drafter chose to sacrifice the narccisist role for the mafia seer prior to np1.

Instead Rob goes back on his word, and marries Jayne Westerling! What an outrage! If this slight was made against any other kingdom's leader, would not war be imminent? You retaliated with the Red Wedding, which was seen as a betrayal by the north, but let’s be honest, who betrayed who here first? Joining the Lannisters was only natural at this point. You are the Judas. You start by winning with the Town. The first time you are betrayed and lynched, you will not die but your affiliation will change so that you will win with the mafia. Speedrace- You are the Hyenas, from The Lion King. King Mufasa banished you into the elephant graveyard to starve, just for being different. I mean do the lions who also eat other animals and justify their survival as “the circle of life” really have a high horse to sit on when judging other animals who eat for survival? No wonder all it took for Scar to win you over was offering you food. While the hyenas put on a fierce predator face, they prove to be relatively harmless in almost every scenario in the movie, not even able to take on a warthog and a meerkat. You are a vanilla, and can influence the game with your voice and vote. You win with the town. (Killed np3)

MisterChris-You are Batman from DC comics. You seem to have moral qualms with killing bad guys, but are perfectly okay with brutalizing people and leaving them with injuries that should be paralyzing or torturously leaving them in pain. It would be a mercy to kill them after the way you handle people. But nooo, not good old Batman. You allow yourself to sleep at night by not killing them, even though most of them would probably rather die than remain a cripple for life. As Batman has a bunch of gadgets that give him a variety of abilities, you are the JOAT. You have the following abilities and you can choose one each night: Janitor, Ninja, Lawyer, Framer, Strongman, Scout, and Lookout. You win with the mafia.
(Seriously, how is the guy in 2:40-2:45 not fucking dead? Not to mention the grenade scene like 15 seconds earlier. "I dOnT kIlL pEoPlE")
Elminster- You are the Wicked Witch of the West. Or so they call you. Seriously, what's up with this “wicked” adjective they have to put in your name? After some young girl enters your realm and brutally murders your beloved sister with her house, all you want to do is mourn. The last collectable possession of your dearly departed sister are her shoes. Not only does the murdering bitch Dorothy kill your sister, she has to take your only memento you have of her and wear them. That’s some serious serial killer vibes there, some Ed Gein type of stuff. Well you aren’t just gonna stand there and let her get away with that! Luckily you have some tools at your disposal you find this heathen. On odd nights you are the watcher, and can use your gazing ball to watch a player and see who visits them in the night. On even nights, you are the tracker, and can send your flying monkeys to track the whereabouts of another player. You win with the town.

He made some good calls with the tailor role, which was a huge gamble given how many power roles town had this game, but it paid off well. Manipulated town into thinking there was more scum than there really were and forcing lynches.
Town MVP's: Drafter/ragnar
The cop targets were amazing, and the way they played it was brilliant. 2 Guilties in a row were stellar, and mafia were pretty confused as to who the cop was until POE absolutely forced it down.
Balance thoughts? I expect to hear a bit about how tailor is pretty OP. I do agree with that sentiment. However the way I designed this game was that scum had to leave themselves extremely vulnerable anytime they used it. It was a big gamble as that JOAT was their only protection against investigation roles. They basically had no roleblock, redirect, anything when they would use it. Also town had a ton of confirmable roles (though this was also designed to build skepticism and lead mislynches among the town, as well as to balance mafia's super JOAT role that basically counters everything). Town would have had a very good chance of winning this had the bomb mishap not happened DP1. Town besides maybe two town players who knows who they are, played pretty well this game but were met with the unfortunate circumstances with greyparrot's bomb.
BTW as soon as I did the roles and saw GP rolled bomb I had the temptation to switch him with someone else because I had a feeling he would do what he did. But I also kinda thought it would be funny to see how it played out. It definitely was, but yeah I would be pissed if I was on his team lol.

Any attempts at other relationships subsequently were sabotaged paranormally, and you had constant dreams where he visited you and made you promise yourself to him. You know your destiny is to join Flagg, as much as it twists and turns your stomach. But meeting Larry Underwood almost changed all of that. You approached him and asked him to become your lover, and if he would have said yes, things could have been so much different. But they didn’t, and after you had rejected him, he was still bitter and hurt and had moved on. The night he rejected you was the night Flagg finally seized control of you and you made the decision to join him. You are the ROLEBLOCKER! Each night you may visit another player. That player may not take any actions. You win with the mafia.

When Captain Trips unleashes an apocalypse that wipes out most of humanity, you think you are the only survivor from your small town of Ogunquit in Maine. As you moved to the Boulder Free Zone you were rejected and looked down upon for your cynical nature. This leads you to ultimately betray and kill multiple people. You always pick the winning side. You are the 1x Executioner. When you vote a player during the day phase, if that player has half or more of the votes required to lynch them, you can choose to immediately lynch them by submitting "Execute (player name)". You win if you survive to the end of the game. You cannot joint-win.

You are Larry Underwood, possibly my favorite Stephen King character of all time. You have some of the most in-depth character development of any character I’ve ever read. The quote from Alice Underwood sums up how Larry is in the beginning of the book. After struggling through the hardship of the apocalypse started by the virus “Captain Tripps” Larry goes on a journey first east from NYC to Maine, and then all the way back west to Boulder, Colorado. During your journey, you meet a lot of interesting people and face challenges that force you to either lose yourself to depression, or change and become better. Since your character develops from mentally weak in the beginning, to slowly stronger throughout the book, you are the developmental JOAT. You gain abilities of increasing use throughout the progression of the game. NP1: Miller. NP2: 1x tracker NP3: 1x watcher NP4: 1x vigilante. Abilities can only be used the night phase they are acquired. You win with the town.

You are Donald Merwin Elbert, better known as “Trashcan Man”. Weird name eh? Well You prefer it over your real name that’s for sure. You are a pyromaniac with untreated mental health issues. Luckily for you, the apocalypse killed off anyone who can stop you from burning stuff down. After a long journey west to visit the “Man in black” who keeps visiting you in your dreams, you have some pretty crazy encounters with a lunatic called “The Kid”. You escape with your life when the man in black sends a horde of wolves to kill him off, and have now devoted yourself to Flagg, AKA the man in black. Are you a bad guy? Despite devoting yourself to the baddest of bad guys, you genuinely seem good hearted and hate bullies. Your just a little crazy, that’s all. You also essentially nuked all the Vegas baddies in one of King’s most “out of the nowhere” Deus Ex Mochina endings ever, so I’d say that qualifies you as a good guy… Kinda. You are appropriately the bomb. If you are lynched, the person who hammers will explode with you. If you are killed, the person carrying out the kill on you will also die. You win with the town.

You are Tom Cullen, a retarded adult male who survived the apocalypse, and made it safely to Boulder with the help of some friends. You are one of the most lovable characters in the book, and are the only survivor of the undercover spies sent by The Committee to Vegas to get information on Randall Flagg. Flagg can invade the minds of most, but apparently not of the mentally retarded. You are the only one who made it all the way to Vegas, and actually lived to make it back to the Free Zone in Colorado. After finding Stu Redman, you two fight starvation and injuries to get back to your loved ones. You are thus the Soldier. If at any point you are the last living town member, The Town wins. You win with the town.
Warren42- “Show me a man or a woman alone and I’ll show you a saint. Give me two and they’ll fall in love. Give me three and they’ll invent the charming thing we call ‘society’. Give me four and they’ll build a pyramid. Give me five and they’ll make one an outcast. Give me six and they’ll reinvent prejudice. Give me seven and in seven years they’ll reinvent warfare. Man may have been made in the image of God, but human society was made in the image of His opposite number, and is always trying to get back home.”
You are Glenn Batemen, an associate professor of Sociology who went into retirement briefly before the apocalypse hit. You were by yourself with your newly adopted dog “Kojak” when you met with a group heading for Colorado. You tag along mostly out of curiosity about seeing the new world being built up, and have a vested interest in this because of your old career. Upon arriving in Colorado, it was your idea to form a “Reform Committee” to get together and restore some semblance of democracy. You are the loveable old man of the group. Most everyone likes you because of your friendliness, thus you are the 1x friendly neighbor. One time in the game, you may visit another player. That player will be made aware of your role and affiliation. Your target will receive the following message “Hi! You’ve been visited by your friendly neighbor warren. Warren wins with the town.” You win with the town.

Welcome to “The Stand” Mafia! This theme is a book written by Stephen King, and is considered his magnum opus. It’s the largest book he’s ever written, and to many fans of King, is considered an unparalleled masterpiece, even in comparison to his many other popular works.
It is about a pandemic that starts after a patient zero for U.S. government bio weapons lab escapes, unleashing a deadly virus on the world. This virus is nicknamed “Captain Trips” and is a super flu similar to the Corona Virus but much more deadly.
This Virus wipes out 99% of the population. The survivors start seeing visions of either a friendly seeming old woman, or dark haunting images of a man in black.
Both visions guide them to either Las Vegas or Colorado, where the survivors understand they are destined to clash with the other group depending on which side they choose.
Also low-key promo: If you are interested in the theme of this game, you might want to check out the new show for it which will be premiering on December 17th, on CBS all access. I for one am pretty excited to watch it!
Rules, and some mod notes:
Standard rules apply, no editing/deleting posts, no outside communication from non mod created messages with other players in the game. All players role PM’s have a quote at the start of it, you can copy and paste the quote at the start of your PM, but when claiming please paraphrase your role pm itself. Flips will occur the following day phase. All players in this game were personally invited. I chose players I knew would be active, and put an effort it. I hate having to ping people multiple times, or find replacements, so if you got an invite it’s because I know you to be pretty active. If you have a question regarding rules please ask. I will not answer questions publicly in the phase.
If you have a question you can PM it to me. This is to avoid giving any potential game breaking information that could hurt the mafia team. I generally won’t answer questions about how roles work mechanically, unless that role is already flipped and in the graveyard. I do this just to play on the safe side as a mod, believe it or not sometimes even answering small questions can really screw over a scum team and it’s not fair to them.
Also as far as roles go, your understanding of how a role works might not be the same as mine. Sometimes I literally take a role from drafters role list and make it work mechanically as that list says it does, and sometimes I just take inspiration from the role and add my own tweaks to it. Sometimes I completely make roles up as an experiment as well. Sometimes my modding mechanics are not the same from game to game, IE if x shot roles keep their abilities on being roleblocked or not. Everything is on the table, and I mod each game separately according to the specific vision I have for it. If there are any questions on how a role role works that isn’t in the graveyard, I will refer you to this OP to make things simple.

8/10 of the last games are town wins. My question is: What's up with this? I remember multiple complaints on Debate.org all the time how town rarely won, mafia tended to go on huge win streaks. Looking at the general balance I'd say most of these games were pretty fair and balanced, with maybe slight variables, or arguments that some are swingy, but in general I don't think those aspects would effect mafia skill all that much. I have my own theories and ideas for what's going on, but I am genuinely curious what some of your thoughts are on this trend.

Great job everyone! Like I said, this was a really swingy game with all the third parties, a recruiter, etc. It could have gone really pro mafia if the Justice would have targeted third party and town as well. Oro getting caught early was a good catch from danielle, I don't think he would have been suspected if she didn't jump in with a FOS late dp1.
Good job everyone, speed played well but was faced with some tough POE, and the fake claim ultimately hurt him.

After you recruit, you have the option to become a roleblocker or a rolecop, and your recruit target will take whatever role you don’t choose. Welcome to Ultimate Weeabu Universe Mafia! This mafia game is a compilation of anime characters from my favorite animes. This is not a role madness game, though it may work out to be a bit swingy depending on how things go.
Basic Rules are no sharing outside pm's with seomeone in the game about game related content, and no copy pasting/screenshotting role pm's.
You can use PM structure argumentation at your own risk, though I am known to switch up role pm structure to counter this. Full tranparency, I usually give mafia fake claims, either roles or characters, usually not both. I will not censor players this game, if you have a problem with another player, dish it out with them however you like. In fact I encourage you to come up with creative insults to your fellow mafia player.
Game will start when bullish's concludes, or if RM's game occurs, after his game. It is currently designed for 10 players.

This is an old fun forum game I'd like to bring back, anyone can play and participate at any time. How it works, is you make a wish, any wish! Then the next person to reply grants it, but corrupts it in some way before making their own wish. We keep it going until we get bored and the thread dies.
EX:
Person 1: I wish for a billion dollars!
Person 2: Granted, but now the IRS is after you because of the sudden suspicious increase of money, and you get thrown in prison. I wish for world peace!

I just have to say Speedrace is a fantastic mafia player, and proves it time and time again. My first game with him ever was the office mafia game, late last year where he went under the radar all the way to the end and played very pro town as scum. He's been playing live mafia with us recently, and has a 100% win ratio as scum in like 6 games.
Last night I saw him pull an amazing victory with the odds stacked against him. His scum partner supa was lynched dp1, and he had a scummy character claim that people suspected throughout the whole game. He pulled off perfect results with his lawyer and frame (you could say it was luck, but I think it was proper prediction). He lawyered himself np1 causing doubt from the cop, and gambled a frame on bullish np3 after he was already inno'd np2, successfully predicting the cop would test her result on him again. It was awesome from a mods perspective to watch him kick @ss like that.
I definitely wouldn't under-estimate speed in any game you play with him, he is very deceptive as scum.
