None of what you said changes what I've said. Honestly, my post could be copy-pasted and repeated back, and it would serve as a sufficient rebuttal.
I'm also aware of your habit of trolling, so I'm not willing to argue this with you. If some other nihilist wants to come argue with me on this, they can.

I have an idea like everyone else. But nihilism is a self-defeating philosophy. The fact that we are on this earth working towards something, whatever it may be, does mean that our life means something.
We humans work toward our goals because we are naturally driven. Whatever the meaning of life is, it has placed us here, so that we can choose our goals and go after them.
If the emo kid truly believes in his nihilism, he should kill himself. The fact he hasn’t proves that he has some kind of meaning, that even he recognizes on a subconscious level.
But here’s the kicker: Even if he does kill himself, it means that he cared enough to do so… meaning that there is a meaning of life, and he believed it was just suffering.
Of course, the meaning of life isn’t to suffer. But the fact of the matter is that this Catch 22 destroys nihilism as a philosophy. A nihilist is simply a subjective moralist who erroneously believes he isn’t. He couldn’t find his subjective morals, so he concludes there is no such thing.

You misunderstand the philosophy of gun rights.
Simply put, if you cannot defend your rights (such as speech and property), you do not have them. Therefore, gun rights are as necessary as any other right. Otherwise, you are saying only the government can have guns, and are relying on the government alone to protect your rights. This is irrational given that governments are notorious for using their arms to violate their people’s rights.
Gun rights are the logical conclusion of the idea of self-defense. This means that for you to morally defend your rights, there must be an aggressor attempting to violate them. In other words, gun rights do not give you the right attempt an assassination; they give you the right to be armed and ready for when armed oppressors come after you and your rights.

How can one be happy when they know that their loved ones are engulfed in burning agony in hell? If you were to be happy in heaven, you would have to not be you.
First things first, it should be noted that God is the final authority on who goes where.
I don’t know where either of my grandparents are, but I’m guessing they’re in Heaven, given that they both believed, as far as I could tell.
However, I do have a non-believing sister. I worry for her. I may be happy to know where I’m going, but I’m not happy about her faith situation. I don’t think any Christian would be happy to think about any passed relatives who didn’t walk with God.
But again, there is solace when you know you are saved, and that you have the chance to help save others. All the more reason to spread the Word. All the more reason to be there for my sister.
As for happiness in general, it is defined by more than just one thought or aspect of one‘s life.

@Roosevelt (BANNED LOL- Only for a month though? He’s a repeat offender!)
Trump inherited 800 million (adjusted for inflation) and today he has a net worth less than that.
Womp womp
The funny thing about my argument is that I chose Donald Trump because I know how much you hate him. I could’ve chosen any Republican or well-known conservative who makes a lot more than you.
The point I was making is simple: You have established a level of wealth that believe is the difference between being a loser and being a winner. What’s to stop someone even wealthier than you saying you are a loser, based on that metric? At some point you have to admit that money isn’t everything.
You are not a winner or a loser based on what money you make, but rather, if you have good morals and are happy in life. You don’t have good morals, and based on your DART posts, I’m not convinced you’re a happy person. Hence why I called you sad and miserable, along with “loser.” I stand by what I said.

@Double_R
Maybe you're right and I don't have enough faith in him, but I think he's exactly the partisan circlejerker myself and others say he is.
Just take a look at his threads. They're mostly inane criticisms that, at the end of the day, are not going to influence someone's vote if that someone is concerned with policy over stuff like some documentary on a TV show from over a decade ago... or about Marjorie Taylor Greene's divorce. In fact, I don't even care who's in his cabinet if it's Trump vs. Harris. Hell, I don't even care whether or not Trump is a good person. I only care about the quality of his policies.
Even in the threads where he may have a tiny point, he relies heavily on out-of-context quotes and regurgitates whatever mainstream media slop he came across that day.
If this thread is some satire of some things he's seen right-wingers post, he's got me fooled.
Sure, he may be jaded by the fact that some right-wingers will dumb down issues to "red states good, blue states bad"... but I'm convinced it's the fact that the blue states are the accused ones that bothers him, not the dumbing down of it all. If that isn't the case, why does he feel the need to defend Chicago's unenforceable gun laws (and the crime rates that are increased by said laws being violated) by blaming violations of said law on Indiana? (NOTE: It's not for the alleged satire in this thread; this isn't the first time I've seen him fall back on MuH HoOsIEr GUnS when someone brings up Chicago's inability to enforce its own laws.)
To me, this looks no different than every other hyper-partisan thread he's made. This is the dude who was calling Thomas Crooks a patriot, and demeaning Trump supporters as people who should be "forced underground" by any means, including physical force. He's also the dude who routinely approaches my arguments with bad faith... so why should I have any good faith in him here?

You find me tiresome, yet you keep responding. This is not a problem. I welcome the discussion.
The problem lies in the fact that you won’t tag me, because you want to get the last word in and you’re hoping I don’t see it. Stop being a pussy.
“Exploitation” is not my go-to for those who promote gun control as a solution. It is rather a statement of intent as I see it.
A layman who promotes gun control because they view it as the solution? Pure, but wrong.
An egotistical idiot who makes a thread dedicated to “my state better than your state,” with no thought to the issue itself? Exploitative.
And no, he is not simply someone who is “fed up with bs” or whatever. If he was, he would be making real arguments, not ignoring them. If he was, he would cite evidence, not his supposed “6 houses.”
He is not motivated by being intelligent or solving problems. He is motivated by feeling intelligent and “proving” superiority.
To him, tragedies like school shootings are nothing more than a bat to beat down on his opponents with.
He is a scumbag.

I’m not calling the standard leftist who proposes gun control exploitative, not on that front. Roosevelt is distinct in that his motives are a scorecard that he uses to feel superior.
Created:

@badger
You also should tag me next time.
Incidents like these a tragic and noteworthy. We should do things to address them. Not with what the left proposes, but the problem does need to be addressed.
However, Roosevelt has made many threads talking about how “red state crime is out of control”… a claim anyone reasonable would recognize as ridiculous. In truth, crime rates in any location are a product of many factors, and it isn’t a blue/red split. Idaho and Wyoming are testament to that fact.
His whole argument here is basically just “other side bad.” While the other lefties in this thread offer solutions (ineffective ones, but solutions nonetheless), he offers no solution, instead citing his imaginary political scorecard.
His intent is not pure.

Tag me next time, coward.
Stop selling them guns you morons! I realize Indiana is a welfare state, but at least have some integrity.
LOL! Instead of arguing against the point I made, you just repeated the same absurd claim. You can’t even bring yourself to acknowledge my points, can you?
That would require you to have some intellectual honesty. You don’t have any.
Um, I make a lot of money. I’ve been married for more than 30 years and now own 6 houses. My kids both graduated college.
A while ago you said you made around $400,000 a year… apparently, in one year, you’re now rich enough to own six houses. You are a bad liar.
But let’s assume you’re telling the truth…
Donald Trump has more money than you do. Therefore, he is a winner and you are a loser.

@IwantRooseveltagain
Bullshit, those guns are being supplied by red states.
And the seekers of those red state guns are residents of the very blue Windy City.
Turns out, when you place heavy restrictions on guns and gun ownership, criminals and otherwise law-abiding individuals alike will turn to the black market. Conservatives have been saying this for years; thanks for helping my case.
Go ahead, keep trying to spin the issue and blame Indiana for Chicago’s inability to enforce its own laws.
Sick and twisted is all MAGA MORONS understand. They are very sensitive to the crime issue unless it is happening in red states.
A sad deflection from a miserable loser. I ask again, why do you exploit tragedy for the sake of some political scoreboard?
Created:

Crime is out of control in the red states and red counties.
Also, how sick and twisted are you, to take an event like this and use it for a cheap, political potshot?

@ me next time. I haven’t blocked you.
I doubt you spend as much time outside as you say, but whatever.
Anyway, no normal person is this upset over a hat. So many older men wear these hats that no one sees them as boyish; even you wore them for a while.
In fact, why would anyone consider a simple hat like that as “boyish” in the first place? I don’t- it seems pretty inoffensive to most people.
All that changed was that you saw some Trump supporters wearing hats, and then you decided they were stupid because Trump supporters were wearing them. It’s hilarious.
